The media that colors our lives. We talk about them like they are our own personal friends. Characters in television or movies. Music speaks aloud what's in our hearts. So why not have a blog about it. There is lots to talk about.

Gossip Girls and The Hills
In addition to the plethora of television shows I've been watching, add Gossip Girl and The Hills to that list. I'm glad I don't have that kind of drama in my life, but I wouldn't mind the wardrobe! Something about watching those shows makes me want to dress more stylish because its fun and creative. Not to mention get in better shape to look even better in clothes. The only thing is that I know I kind of hold back on certain styles because of living in So Cal. I feel like you can be overly dressed here, but it would never be over doing it in New York. Either way, what the heck, I'm just gonna be as stylish as I want to be. It feels good and it looks good!

How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother. One of my top five favorite shows for sure! I can't remember coming across an episode I didn't like. No matter how bummed I might have been, it sure knows how to make me laugh and smile.

Brothers and Sisters
I love watching Brothers and Sisters. There are qualities about that show make it so appealing to me. It reminds me so much of my own families' dynamics. The big family. Being in each others' business. Everyone keeping secrets. Arguing. Having drama, but unconditionally loving each other despite it all. Life is art. And art imitates life. Or at least the saying goes something like that.
American Gangster
This movie is amazing. The story line and the direction is incredible. Denzel Washington puts on another academy award winning performance. This movie is so many genres put into one. First, it's set in the 1970's. It has several cultures reflected in it--italian, african american, mofia, drugs, corruption, cops/detectives. I love how this story shows two different points of view of the same story. I can't believe its based on a true story. I also noticed that Russell Crow is doing another whistleblower role. He really has his American accent set. It was hard to watch the dirty needles and the gun fire, but aside from that I did enjoy this one. Good job to Ridley Scott.

Samantha Who?
I just watched this show the other day and I must say that the concept has me hooked. Who wouldn't love to get a new start? I think it's hilarious how Samantha wakes up to pick up the clues of who she was before she went into a coma. I like to compare it to a night of utter drunkness where you forget what you did, but you wake up to find clues or ask people questions to help jog your memory. If you woke up and didn't remember how you got there, isn't that almost the same thing on a smaller scale? But I love how this show demonstrates that your past does not dictate your future and everyday is a new opportunity to change for the better.
