Grey's is back for Season 5!

I watched the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy this week. Almost 2 full hours of viewing pleasure. So many plots, characters, and themes to even go into, but I would like to highlight the parts that got my attention. Meredith and McDreamy are finally getting somewhere by the end of the episode by moving in together...about time! Finally that OR nurse that McDreamy dated is out of the picture. I didn't like her and I thought she was weird. What a bad impression to leave for the public perception of nurses, which is something that does irritate me but oh well. Christina and that army guy...woah. Good portrayal of on screen chemistry. I want that army doctor guy to stay. It would be interesting to see how they would challenge and learn from each other. Just reminds me of how being humble and demonstrating intelligence is HOT. Dang, I'm such a nerd haha. Bailey always cracks me up, but didn't see much out of her character this episode. Now onto matters that irritated me. Meredith talking constantly about her relationship with Derek...eww. Okay, I guess I feel that way because I can relate. I love to listen to people about their stuff, but only up to a certain point, not when it's the same thing over and over and over again. I can relate to how Christina has to listen to Meredith, but I don't overreact and blow up like she did. I already mentioned that the nurse McDreamy dated irritated me because she acted all passive aggressive. It's like...get over it. On another note, it was interesting to see things that I can relate to or understand on a work and scholarly level. The major issue of the episode was about being ranked as the 12th best hospital in surgery in the nation and how the rank dropped from years before. It's interesting because I sort of pay attention to hospital ranks and health grades. I know my hospital ranks well when it comes to coronary artery bypass surgery patients. The on a scholarly level, it was interesting to see how surgeons wanted to try a radical procedure that was supported by up-to-date research. It still cracks me to up see the doctors and interns performing skills that nurses or radiology techs usually do at the bedside, but I can see why the writers almost have no choice otherwise the characters would have nothing to do and there would be no show. Can hardly wait til next week to see what happens next.
